Job summary

Sterling St James LLC is seeking a Packaging Supervisor in McDonough, GA with proven leadership experience in food, beverage, or pharmaceutical manufacturing. The role focuses on staffing, training, safety, and SOP/GMP adherence within a production environment.

The incumbent will drive lean initiatives, coordinate with Maintenance for equipment reliability, and coach teams to achieve performance targets and business results, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience leading production teams in food, beverage, or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Strong communication and coaching abilities.
• Lean manufacturing background desired, with ability to drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide all aspects of team leadership to Production employees.
• Organize staffing levels and training to ensure safety and SOP/GMP compliance.
• Coordinate with Maintenance to maintain equipment and maximize efficiency.
• Coach the team to meet performance objectives and business results.
• Communicate with Team Leaders to review actions and recognize progress.
• Analyze production data to identify trends and implement corrective actions.

PACKAGING SUPERVISOR

Must have prior experience in food, beverage or pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Provide all aspects of Team leadership to Production employees. Personnel responsibilities will include but not limited to, proper employee staffing levels, utilization of continuous team building techniques to maintain a high level of motivation and morale. The organization of employee training processes to assure that employee base is well qualified for all production operations and trained on all safety procedures within the production area and company SOP’s and GMP’s. The Production Supervisor will resolve conflicts and disciplinary actions when required.

Interaction with the Maintenance Department to ensure that equipment is constantly maintained and fully operational levels to achieve maximum efficiency.

Accountabilities

1. Solidify open communication with employees and the support Departments
2. Implement company’s organizational and operational principals
3. Coach the Production team to establish performance measures to achieve designated objectives and deliver business results
4. Conduct regular communication meetings with Team Leaders and production team to recognize successes, review action plans to resolve open issues
5. Analyze production reports and data to identify adverse trends and create corrective action plans.

Looking for someone with a strong lean manufacturing background
