Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Develop and adjust PACK Production Schedule to meet FP completion dates.
  • Manage 2-Week Soft schedule and 48-Hour Hard schedule by asset.
  • Create and review campaign packets and packoutsheets.
  • Track KPIs and unit performance 24/7.
  • Produce reports on open POs due within 14 days.
  • Communicate outages during SAP downtime.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Overview:

The Washington Works site currently hasan opportunity available for a Packaging Production Scheduler (Advanced Specialist, Production) to support Autoclave’s packaging process.

The Packaging Production Scheduler is a key member of the production team and will be responsible for maximizing the efficiency of the assets and labor resources to achieve the unit’s production plan.

This is an on-site position in Washington, West Virginia.

Responsibilities:
  • In coordination with Asset Optimizer(AO), MaintenanceScheduler & Packaging Daily Execution Lead (DEL),this roleisresponsible fordeveloping and the ongoing adjustments of the PACK Production Schedule to meet FP completion dates.PACK production assets include all ACBoxlines, Blending Operations, & MPWBagline.Any significant changes to the agreed upon production plan must beapproved byproduction leadership andcommunicated to the supply chain team for awareness.
  • Ownership of thepackagingproduction schedule processwhichconsists of a 2-Week Soft packaging scheduleforall open FP (finished product) POson each individualproductionasset,andthe48-Hour Hard production scheduleby availableassetthat isbased on PO priority,available WIPinventory, and staffinglevels.
  • Responsible for the creation, distribution, & completed review of campaign packets andpackoutsheets for all FG packaging operations.
  • Responsible for managing respective PACK 24/7 & CORE Team Metrics & KPIs
  • Production Actual vs. Production Plan by Asset & Total (daily - 24/7 Team, weekly - Core Team, Monthly & YTD - Unit Team)
  • Tote Bin Empty vs. Full Status Report by product/bin type (daily- CoreTeam)
  • Tote Bin Location (AC & MPW) Report (daily - Core Team)
  • OPEN P.O.s (due within 14 days) Status Report by P.O. scheduled completion date (weekly - Core Team)
  • AC Silo % Full Status (daily - Core Team)
  • MPW Blender % Full Status (daily - Core Team)
  • Ability to be cross trained with the Unit Production Coordinator for short-term coverage.
  • Responsible for the communication, creation, and execution of pre-generated batches/POs for planned SAP outages to mitigate operations or inventory impact.
  • Manages the PO generation, scheduling, and technical communication for PACK TAs in production.

Other Responsibilities

  • Ensure that allindividual actionsandissuedinstructionscomply withoperationalprocedures(SOPs/ODs)and safetystandards.
  • Maintainsunitstandardsrelated tohousekeeping,quality management systems, personnel policies, and process safety management.
  • ModelsCelaneseCoreValueCompliance(Stewardship/PSM, Ethics & Respect for People).
  • Ensuregood communicationand relationswithProductionPersonnel,Business Planners& Schedulers, S&AOPTeam,Raw Material Coordinators,UnitLeadership Team,andTechnical Engineering Staff.
Qualifications:
  • HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • Manufacturing experience.
  • Aptitude for leading and developing team members.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Knowledge of computer use such as Microsoft office and other special programs as needed.
  • Capacity to solve problems and be decisive to ensure business needs are met.
  • Troubleshooting experience of general computer & Microsoft app issues.
  • Confidence of multitasking in a demanding and fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Able to take calls and work after hours on an as needed basis.

The following skill sets are preferred by the site:

  • SAP experience.
  • Critical thinking.
  • Business acumen related to production process flow, inventory management, and operational costs.
  • Sample Manager (LIMS) experience.
  • Training in vocational schools, related on-the-job experience, or an associate's degree.
