24 Seven Talent in New York City is seeking a Production and Procurement Associate to coordinate purchasing, sourcing, and production activities for packaging materials. You will work cross-functionally with sales, design, operations, and logistics to keep projects on schedule and meet quality standards.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in procurement or supply chain, strong vendor negotiation skills, and proficiency with Excel and ERP systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
3+ years in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain.
Experience in manufacturing/packaging/consumer goods is preferred.
Knowledge of purchasing processes, vendor management, inventory control.
Ability to negotiate with suppliers and manage vendor relationships.
Experience juggling multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

Coordinate day-to-day procurement, purchasing, and production activities for packaging projects.
Create and track purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and documentation.
Source materials from qualified suppliers balancing cost, lead time, and quality.
Negotiate pricing and terms with vendors and maintain supplier relationships.
Monitor production schedules and inventory requirements.
Coordinate inbound shipments and logistics with vendors and third-party providers.
Align purchasing with customer specifications and project deadlines.
Track supplier performance and cost savings; report KPIs.
Resolve supply, quality, and delivery issues with timely updates.
Maintain procurement records and ensure compliance.
Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and reduce costs.
