Job summary

JobSquad is seeking a Packaging/Production Operator for the 3rd shift in Melrose Park, IL. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow Food Safety policies.
• Perform changeovers and film changes as needed.
• Set up machines and read/execute recipes.
• Troubleshoot process issues within recipe boundaries.
• Use digital scales and understand scale functions.
• Mix doughs according to recipe and manage mixer usage.
• Follow FIFO and ensure lot number documentation accuracy.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Support shift team and report food safety/quality issues promptly.
• Work weekends as required.

Pay and Hours for Job + Benefits: $19 p/hr

Job Squad is looking for Packaging/Production Operators for 3rd Shift in Melrose Park, IL for our food manufacturing partner.

Main Responsibilities

• Understand and follow Food Safety policies.
• -have experience in changeovers and changing out films
• -familiar with LOTO
• -knowledge of setting up the machines
• Must be willing to work flexible schedules and work in other departments including weekends and holidays
• Ability to read and understand recipes.
• Ability to troubleshoot process related issues within the boundaries of the recipe
• Ability to use digital scales and have a working knowledge of scale functions.
• Ability to mix doughs according to recipe. Having a working knowledge of the mixer, using the time and batch recipe system
• Follow FIFO (First in First Out), Mix lot number and documentation accuracy.
• Clean & Refill ingredient bins and label the bins with the correct lot number.
• Ability to work in a standing position for entire shift and climb steps and ladders.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Monitors and assists with equipment upstream/downstream to ensure continuous operation.
• Ability to clean mixers, work areas properly during and after production runs or changeovers
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
• Observe all plant safety, GMP and allergen procedures and attend appropriate training sessions
• Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP and SQF requirements
• Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to your supervisor
• Follow supervisor's directives and be able to support the shift team as needed -Mathematical skills
• Candidates that apply must be able to work weekends
