Description Overview: We are looking for a Packaging Production Designer. This role requires an extensive production design skill set and expert execution experience with packaging regulations. The US Packaging Production Design team manages steady state brand and category expansion and ongoing packaging maintenance for 35+ Owned Brands, new brand development, and special projects.

Location: Hybrid Onsite Wednesdays - Minneapolis, MN (preferred) or Remote

Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the creation and maintenance of Client Owned Brand Portfolio packaging standards.
2. Collaborate with Creative and Packaging partners to develop and implement brand relevant solutions to new problems while maintaining the integrity of the existing brand across multiple packaging formats and categories.
3. Create presentation decks, mock-ups, and other materials to support approval moments with senior management and clients.
4. Present concepts and creative work in an organized and effective manner to packaging partners.
5. Work closely with global teams to execute on-brand production files.
6. Interpret feedback and design critique to make timely updates to work in progress.
7. Responsible for asset management; maintain and update all brand standards, toolkits, and support documentation for multiple owned brands.
8. Proof all vendor-produced artwork to ensure integrity and consistency to the brand standards.
9. Organize and plan details for multiple projects in order to meet project deadlines. Integrates and balances competing priorities.
10. Knowledgeable of the print process, packaging substrates, and die lines, from concept through execution.
11. Provide expertise in key software applications and execution techniques for Target Creative.
12. Drive continual improvement by defining quality standards and best practices.
13. Stay current with the latest industry, style, and graphic trends.
14. Strong attention to detail to ensure quality and accuracy of work.

Required Qualifications:

1. Design Degree.
2. 4-8 years’ experience.
3. Strong knowledge of MAC applications, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
4. Comfort with online collaboration tools like Zoom, Teams, Miro, Slack, Concept board.
5. Fundamental design skills with the ability to receive and interpret design direction with strong attention to detail.
6. Action oriented.
7. Ability to drive results and prioritize.
8. Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, presentation, and communication skills.
9. Ability to work under high pressure/stressful situations while maintaining professionalism.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
11. Strong organizational skills.
