Job summary

IntelliPro seeks a Packaging/Product Development Engineer to manage cross-functional development projects from concept through launch in Clark, NJ. Hybrid arrangement supports collaboration across Marketing, Operations, R&D, and Manufacturing to drive timely, cost-effective launches.

Applicants should have 4–6+ years in packaging or product development, with a Bachelor's in Packaging Engineering or related field, and strong PM, cost analysis, and leadership skills. Onsite work required as needed.

Qualifications

4-6+ years of experience in packaging, product development, project management, or related discipline
Experience in cosmetics, beauty, consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, food, or related industry preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Operations, Engineering, or related technical field
Strong project management and organizational skills
Experience managing complex cross-functional product development projects
Strong understanding of product development and commercialization processes
Technical packaging experience is a plus
Experience managing product launches from concept through commercialization
Strong analytical skills including feasibility costing, COG analysis, and project financial considerations
Proficiency with Microsoft 365, particularly Excel
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at multiple levels
Strong leadership skills to drive teams toward objectives
Excellent relationship-building and cross-functional collaboration
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, priorities
Ability to work independently and take ownership
Willingness to work onsite in the office as required

Responsibilities

Develop and manage project timelines, milestones, deliverables, and tasks for on-time launches
Lead product development projects from concept through commercialization and launch
Run project review meetings, track actions, and resolve roadblocks
Present updates, launch reviews, risks, and escalations to senior leadership
Partner with Marketing to develop new product briefs and concepts
Collaborate with Operations, R&D, Manufacturing and other teams for alignment
Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans with stakeholders
Evaluate launch feasibility based on cost, timeline, technical requirements, and sustainability
Support plant transfers and coordinate activities across teams
Manage all aspects of project execution including quality and development processes
Perform feasibility costing, cost-of-goods analysis, and value analysis
Coordinate R&D activities and ensure technical requirements are incorporated
Research, develop, and evaluate packaging components and solutions
Provide packaging and product development guidance to teammates
Partner with manufacturing and related teams to support commercialization
Balance aesthetic, technical, and cost considerations for launches
Coordinate meetings, minutes, follow-ups, and project documentation
Monitor trends, technologies, and best practices in packaging and product development
Support global product development initiatives when required
