Job Title: Packaging Operator

Location: Florence, KY

Shift Information:

2nd shift – 2:30pm-10:40pm Mon-Fri

Position Overview/Responsibilities:

A Packaging Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining packaging equipment to efficiently and accurately package finished products for shipment. This role ensures products are properly packaged, labeled, and prepared for distribution, handling delicate products, maintaining cleanliness, and organizing the packaging line.

What We Are Looking For:

• Must be 18 years or older
• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
• Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs
• Prolonged standing and continuous movement within the packaging line
• Frequent bending and stooping

Essential Functions:

• Support safety culture and aim for zero accidents
• Support quality and environmental missions of the plant
• Work cooperatively with team members
• Operate packaging lines per prescribed methods, managing multiple equipment modules
• Follow safety rules and regulations (RIS, RIO, OSHA)
• Train new operators in machine operation, safety, productivity, quality, ISO procedures
• Follow quality policies and procedures
• Handle minor troubleshooting of equipment
• Perform line washout, sanitization, and related paperwork
• Stock lines as needed
• Assign staff to line positions, monitor safety and operation
• Document work order info and track labor hours, production, and efficiency
• Conduct quality checks and document results
• Manage pocket defect program
• Practice GMP standards
• Handle assembly work when required
• Train temporary staff in safety and quality

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in line operations
• Experience meeting production goals/KPIs
