Base pay range

$19.17/hr - $19.17/hr

• This is a night shift position. Working hours are 6:15 pm - 6:30 am on a 2/2/3 schedule: Week 1: work Wednesday and Thursday, week 2: Work Monday, Tuesday, Friday – Sunday***

The Packaging Operator manages the pack-out station in accordance with latest Baerlocher USA safety and production standards.

Primary Responsibilities

• Packaging of material produced on production lines and assistance during clean-out/change-over
• Perform routine checks of packaging equipment to ensure proper functionality and report any issues promptly
• Ability to assume additional responsibilities of Lead Operator on a temporary basis in the event of Lead Operator absence
• Communicate effectively with Production Foreman and other Production Management to ensure smooth workflow
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, adhering to all safety standards
• Support inventory management by accurately labeling and tracking packaged materials
• Assist in troubleshooting minor issues with packaging machinery
• Other duties as assigned
  
  

Essential Duties And Other Responsibilities

• Proper and safe operation of all production and packaging lines
• Execute production start-ups, shutdowns, and change-overs per Production Management’s request
• Work to meet shift production goals safely and while maintaining quality via direction from Lead Operator and Production Management
• Responsible for in-process quality control. Make adjustments as necessary during shift to produce product within specifications and reject product outside of specifications
• Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety/regulatory procedures (Lock-out/Tag-out, Confined Space, Wastewater, etc.)
• Conduct in-process quality testing to verify compliance with specifications
• Accurately document production and quality data as required
• Actively participate in safety initiatives, including reporting hazards and providing suggestions for improvements
• Collaborate with team members to ensure production goals are met efficiently
  
  

Candidate Qualifications: Minimum Requirements:

• Must have High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required
  
  

Preferred Requirements

• Knowledge of and experience with manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery, typically acquired through two to five years of manufacturing experience
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work in varying conditions, including standing for long periods and exposure to heat and noise
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
