Job summary

Lamb Weston is hiring a Packaging Operator Trainee in American Falls, ID. Under the direction of the team leader, you will operate, monitor, and adjust packaging equipment from freezer exit through cased goods to meet production needs and quality standards.

You will maintain safe work practices, record packaging metrics, assist with line setup and changeovers, and support laborers to ensure efficient operation in three packaging areas: Main Lines, Co Products, and Palletizer.

Qualifications

• Must have good communication skills oral and written.
• Must be able to climb stairs and ladders.
• Must be able to stand for long periods at a time.
• Must have manual dexterity and ability to safely use cleaning equipment.
• Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and adjust packaging equipment from freezer exit through cased goods.
• Record packaging efficiencies, downtime and fill out reports accurately.
• Ensure complete package quality by regular checks of weights, seals, codes, and glue patterns.
• Provide direction to packaging laborers and temporary employees to ensure efficient operation.
• Break relief for other employees as needed.
• Qualified for Fire Watch duties.
