Job summary

Theuniversityunion in Hillsboro, KS is hiring a full-time production line worker to monitor the line, stop or reset machines when issues occur, and ensure quality checks are performed throughout the shift.

You will replenish supplies, adjust equipment to improve efficiency, perform cleaning tasks, and maintain quality records while working across plant areas. The role includes health insurance, a 401(k), PTO and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• High attention to detail and ability to catch slight errors.
• Effective listening and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately while staying neat and thorough.
• Physical ability to grab, lift and move product and equipment.

Responsibilities

• You closely monitor the line and stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur and clear machine jams.
• You replenish the supplies necessary to keep the line running in a timely manner to prevent downtime—this includes stocking conveyors or hoppers with containers, lids boxes or labels.
• You make adjustments to equipment during production to optimize efficiency.
• You perform various cleaning tasks as assigned.
• You maintain quality records accurately and conduct quality inspections consistently.
• You work in all areas of the plant, to get the job done.
