Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA Inc. is seeking a night-shift production operator to safely operate packaging equipment, including automated case forming, packing and palletizing systems.

You will set up fiber glue/taping lines, verify case codes, and prepare pallet labels according to the production run schedule. The role requires strong math and technical skills, SOP adherence, lift truck operation, and a commitment to GMP and food safety standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated work experience in food manufacturing.
  • Advanced quality/food safety training and/or certifications is a plus, but not required.
  • Understanding of SQF, QA/QC, CQP, QAP, HACCP, SOP, 5S, GMP, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Operate packaging equipment including automated case forming, packaging and palletizing.
  • Set up, operate and replenish fiber glue and/or taping equipment.
  • Follow SOPs in detail without deviation.
  • Generate pallet ID labels per production run schedule and verify product codes.
  • Set up case coding equipment and validate product case codes.
  • Verify and record accurate product case quantities.
  • Identify out-of-specification product conditions and follow notification protocol.
  • Perform routine equipment adjustments and clean-ups.
  • Operate a lift truck safely.
  • Complete production records neatly and accurately.
  • Perform equipment change-overs, cleaning, setup and reclaim operations.
  • Support internal and external audits and follow GMP/food safety procedures.
  • Cross-train with other departments and maintain housekeeping.

**THIS IS A NIGHT SHIFT; HOURS 6PM - 6AM.**Position Responsibilities* Safe and efficient operation of production packaging equipment to include: Automated case forming, packaging and palletizing equipment.* Set-up, operate and replenish fiber gluer and/or taping equipment.* Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOP’s) in detail without deviation.* Generate pallet identification labels in accordance to the production run schedule. This includes the verification of case quantity, product, product ID and production dates.* Set-up case coding equipment and validate product case codes in accordance with code specifications.* Verify and record accurate product case quantities.* Identify and effectively communicate any out-of-specification product conditions.
