Packaging Operator (must have experience) ALL SHIFTS

Description

A Packaging Operator must be able to work in a safe manner and follow safety guidelines.

• Understand and follow Food Safety policies.
• Be willing to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays, and assist in other departments as needed.
• Read and understand recipes.
• Troubleshoot process-related issues within recipe boundaries.
• Use digital scales and understand their functions.
• Mix doughs according to recipes, using the mixer with knowledge of time and batch systems.
• Follow FIFO (First In First Out), record lot numbers accurately, and document properly.
• Refill ingredient bins, label with correct lot numbers, and maintain cleanliness.
• Work in a standing position for entire shifts, climb steps and ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Monitor and assist with upstream/downstream equipment to ensure continuous operation.
• Clean mixers and work areas during and after production or changeovers.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all plant safety, GMP, and allergen procedures; attend relevant training.
• Ensure safe and quality food production by adhering to GMP, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP, and SQF standards.
• Report all food safety and quality issues immediately to supervisors.
• Follow supervisor’s directives and support the shift team as needed.

Requirements

Experience: Prior experience in operating and maintaining production machines, ensuring efficiency of the entire line.

Preferred Skills

• Effective communication with team members and management.
• Understanding of FDA guidelines and company policies.
• Mathematical skills.
