Job summary

The Hillman Group in Villa Rica, Georgia is seeking a Packaging Operator I to assemble products per customer specifications on the 1st shift (Mon-Thu, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM).

You will review work orders, inspect items for defects, weigh and count products, feed packaging machines, and label boxes while maintaining quality standards and accurate paperwork. This role may require overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Reviews Work Orders to determine packaging requirements.
• Visually inspects product for defects and transfers defective items to the appropriate location.
• Manual weighing and counting of product.
• Loads product into packaging machines, monitors machines for proper function.
• Unloads and visually inspects packaged product to ensure it meets quality standards.
• Places packaged product into boxes, applies identification labels to boxes.
• Accurately completes departmental paperwork.
