Job summary

Owens Corning in Mount Vernon, OH is seeking a Packaging Operator I to support insulation production. The role focuses on packaging, cleaning, and covering breaks, with cross-training in packaging, shipping/receiving, and quality.

Shift options: day 6am-6pm or night 6pm-6am with a 2-2-3 rotation; probationary period 90 days. You must have a High School diploma, be eligible to work in the U.S., be 18+, and pass WorkKeys.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must show proof of authorization to work in the U.S.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must successfully pass WorkKeys assessment.

Responsibilities

• Spotting out-bound trucks into material load docks, ensuring dock-locks.
• Reclaiming off-quality Unbonded Loosefill and re-feeding the material to the former.
• Packaging operator placing bags on bagger equipment snouts ensuring proper packaging of finished goods material.
• Performs general cleanup duties in designated areas (including, but not limited to, sweeping floor, blowing down the line/robot, cleaning break rooms, etc.).
• Assist with Preventative Maintenance processes.
• Perform special needs as determined by plant staff.
• Participates in safety and housekeeping programs as established within the plant.
• Training on how to properly test quality checks according to specifications & shipping/receiving.
• Provides coverage for team members and attends required meetings outside of normal scheduled days as needed.
