Job summary

Ventura Foods is hiring for a packaging production role in the Iowa region. The position involves supporting multiple production areas, packaging pouches, and assisting machine operators with changeovers to maintain efficient production operations.

Our emphasis is on safety, quality, and teamwork within a collaborative environment. The role requires regular attendance, reliability, and the ability to work in shifts, including potential weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Place box into case erector
• Pull pouches of product into cases
• Assemble and prepare cartons and pack products in cartons and containers
• Stack cases onto skid in appropriate pattern
• Replace fully stacked skid with empty skid on line
• Check quality of finished product, e.g.: pouch seal, case print, bag label, weight
• Adhere to safety rules and sanitation practices
• Read plainly written specifications and packing instructions
• Take inventory counts and record on appropriate forms
• Label cases
• Travel required up to 10% between buildings
