Job summary

Ingredion Incorporated is seeking a Packaging Operator for our North Kansas City facility. This role involves running packaging lines, loading materials, and ensuring product quality in a fast-paced environment.

Starting wage is $24.04 per hour with shift differentials and scheduled raises at 6, 12, and 18 months. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and ability to pass Math, Reading, and Mechanical Aptitude tests, plus background, physical, and drug

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Basic computer/technology skills required.
• Must pass Math, Reading and Mechanical Aptitude tests.
• Background check, physical and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Operate packaging machinery and related equipment.
• Set up, operate and troubleshoot packaging lines.
• Inspect and sample products for quality control.
• Load railcars and bags with food-grade specs.
• Pack 50-lb bags and bulk starch packaging.
• Maintain inventory and prepare transport pallets/railcars.
• Document downtime, production metrics and issues.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and quality standards.
• Coordinate with other departments to maximize productivity.
• Maintain a clean, food-grade workspace.
