Job summary

Sensient Technologies is seeking 2nd and 3rd shift packagers/production operators to join our team and make high quality food ingredients. You will package yeast powder used in food products, cat food, livestock feeds, and probiotics, and operate a shrink wrap machine.

You should be able to lift up to 55 lbs regularly, read and write, and work 8- or 12-hour shifts, including weekends. The role emphasizes attention to detail and safety in a fast-paced production setting.

Responsibilities

• Package yeast powder for foods, pet foods, and probiotics.
• Stack bags on pallets and operate a shrink-wrapping machine.
• Take product samples to ensure quality standards.
• Operate and monitor equipment including forklifts and bagging systems.
• Perform area cleaning per company and government policies.
• Complete paperwork about run rates, product types, and production summaries.
• Follow food safety standards and good manufacturing practices.

We are looking for 2nd and 3rd shift packagers/production operators to join our team to make high quality food ingredients! Pay averages $31+/hour without working OT!

What you’ll do:

• Package yeast powder which goes into food products, cat food, livestock feeds, and probiotics
• Stack powder bags on pallets and operate a shrink wrapping machine
• Take samples of product to ensure quality standards are met
• Operate and monitor equipment (forklifts and bagging equipment)
• Perform cleaning for your assigned area that complies with company and government policy
• Fill out required paperwork related to run rates, product types, and production summaries
• Follow food and safety standards/good manufacturing practices

What you’ll bring:

• Attention to detail
• Ability to work both 8-hour or 12-hour shifts, as well as weekends
• Ability to read, write, and a desire to learn about equipment/food manufacturing

• Ability to lift up to 55lbs regularly, position 100lbs, stand for extended periods of time, assemble equipment, and work safely in hot environment
