Job Description: Insulated Metal Panel Production Associate
General Purpose: To maintain continuous quality production of insulated metal panels.
Essential Functions:
- Assist in production activities, cleanup, and changeovers.
- Operate standard forklift and CombiLift to remove bundles from the line and stack them appropriately.
- Transport bundles between curing room, storage, and outdoor yard, ensuring accuracy and safety.
- Highlight each bundle on Shipping BOMs during outside transport to ensure production accuracy.
- Inspect bundles for damage using a forklift and report any issues to the Foreman or Plant Manager.
- Safely place bundles in the shipping yard, organizing by load date, length, and SOA numbers, and ensure they are free of ice in cold weather.
- Communicate effectively with other departments and maintain an organized, clean work area.
- Complete required training with supervision.
- Operate forklifts in accordance with standard procedures.
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proficiency in basic arithmetic, including fractions.
- Ability to accurately measure using a tape measure and understand metric systems.
- High attention to detail.
Physical Requirements:
- Work up to 12 hours per day, with hours depending on season and production needs.
- Physical and mental ability to operate forklifts and CombiLift safely.
- Capability to perform physical movements such as sitting, standing, walking, bending, climbing stairs, crouching, reaching, and twisting for extended periods.
- Ability to work in typical manufacturing conditions and wear PPE.
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Fluent in English for reading, writing, and verbal communication.
- Finger dexterity, visual and auditory acuity, and ability to use tools and machinery.
- Dependability and reliability.
Employees will be exposed to mechanical parts, dust, noise, chemicals, and extreme temperatures in an industrial setting.
