Job summary

Barilla is hiring a Packaging Machine Operator in the United States. You’ll operate automated packaging equipment, monitor production, and ensure products meet quality and food safety standards. The role offers a night shift differential and a flexible 2/2/3 schedule with 12-hour shifts.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (GED preferred) and manufacturing or machine operating experience. Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds are

  • Manufacturing or machine operating experience preferred.
  • Food manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor automated packaging equipment and production lines.
  • Perform machine set-ups, adjustments, and product changeovers.
  • Inspect products for quality, accurate coding, and proper sealing.
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and elevate concerns when needed.
  • Perform routine equipment checks and basic preventative maintenance.
  • Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
  • Follow food safety, GMP, quality, and workplace safety requirements.
  • Keep your work area clean and organized.
  • Work with Maintenance, Quality, and Production teams to keep the line running smoothly.

As a Packaging Machine Operator, you’ll be an important part of the team that gets our pasta ready for the dinner table. You’ll operate automated packaging equipment, monitor production, troubleshoot equipment, and make sure every package meets our high standards for quality and food safety.

  • Competitive Pay: $23.59/hour
  • Night Shift Differential: +$1.75/hour

What You'll Do
