Job summary

Barilla is hiring a Packaging Machine Operator in Avon, NY to operate and monitor automated packaging equipment, perform set-ups and changeovers, and ensure product quality and accurate codes. You will document production activities, follow GMP and safety rules, and collaborate with Maintenance and Quality teams to keep the line running smoothly.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and prior manufacturing experience; food-grade production is a plus, with the ability to lift up to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Manufacturing or machine operating experience preferred.
• Food manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor automated packaging equipment and production lines.
• Perform machine set-ups, adjustments, and product changeovers.
• Inspect products for quality, accurate coding, and proper sealing.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and escalate concerns when needed.
• Perform routine equipment checks and basic preventative maintenance.
• Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
• Follow food safety, GMP, quality, and workplace safety requirements.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Work with Maintenance, Quality, and Production teams to keep the line running smoothly.

What You Do
