Job summary

Barilla is hiring a Packaging Machine Operator in Alabama. You will operate automated packaging equipment, perform changeovers, and ensure product quality and accurate labeling.

You will follow GMP and food safety standards, document production activities, and collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, and Production teams to keep the line running smoothly. Prior manufacturing or machine operating experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills required or strongly preferred.
• Experience operating manufacturing equipment and machines is beneficial.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor automated packaging equipment and production lines.
• Perform machine set-ups, adjustments, and product changeovers.
• Inspect products for quality, accurate coding, and proper sealing.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and escalate when needed.
• Perform routine equipment checks and basic preventive maintenance.
• Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
• Follow food safety, GMP, quality, and workplace safety requirements.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, and Production teams to keep the line running.
