Lunds & Byerlys Mitchell Road in Eden Prairie, MN is hiring a self-directed Packaging Operator for a full-time role. The position operates on a 6:00am–4:00pm schedule with pay ranging from $22.00 to $30.00 per hour, and offers opportunities to test new manufacturing operations in the Twin Cities area.

Ideal candidates are team players who are dependable, hospitable, and capable of following SOPs, GMP, HACCP, and safety guidelines while maintaining cleanliness and accurate production

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification.
• Ability to obtain food safety certification.
• 1+ year manufacturing/food production experience preferred.
• English and/or Spanish reading/writing ability.

Responsibilities

• Package finished food products according to specifications and production schedules.
• Inspect product and packaging materials to ensure quality standards.
• Apply labels, date codes, and lot information accurately to packaged products.
• Load, stack, and box finished product for storage or shipment.
• Assist with line setup, changeovers, and basic operation of packaging equipment as trained.
• Follow SOPs, GMP/HACCP, food safety guidelines, and complete required documentation.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work area.

Lunds & Byerlys Mitchell Road is currently hiring for a self-directed and outgoing Packaging Operator to create a sensational shopping experience for our customers! This position works a full-time schedule and earns a competitive wage of $22.00-$30.00/hr. We operate 24 hours/day and 365 days/year. For this position we are looking for someone with availability around the hours of 6:00am-4:00pm.

About This Opportunity

This is a new role at our facility in Eden Prairie. In this opportunity you will have the chance to take part in testing out new manufacturing operations here in the twin cities.

Packaging Operator Responsibilities

• Package finished food products according to specifications and daily production schedules
• Inspect product and packaging materials to ensure quality standards are met
• Apply labels, date codes, and lot information accurately to packaged products
• Load, stack, and box finished product for storage or shipment
• Assist with line setup, changeovers, and basic operation of packaging equipment as trained
• Follow standard operating procedures, food safety guidelines, good manufacturing practices, and product specifications, including timely and accurate completion of required documentation
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work area by cleaning equipment, work surfaces, floors, and tools as needed

Minimum Qualifications

• Education
  • Required: Highschool diploma or equivalent
  • Desired: food manufacturing, packaging, or production training
• Licensing/ Certification
  • Ability to obtain forklift certification
  • Ability to obtain food safety certification
• Experience
  • Preferred: one or more years of manufacturing, food production, packaging, or related experience
• Other Required Knoweldge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to learn and safely operate assigned food manufacturing or packaging equipment with training and supervision.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, product specifications, and standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness, organization, and attention to detail while handling food products and packaging materials.
  • Ability to identify and report product, process, sanitation, safety, or equipment issues in a timely manner.
  • Ability to follow all GMP, HACCP, food safety, sanitation, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and communicate clearly with supervisors and coworkers.
  • Ability to read and understand labels, production documents, and basic information required to complete records accurately.
  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills to complete production tasks and documentation accurately.
  • Ability to read, write, or speak in English and/or Spanish
