Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a Packaging Operations Manager in the United States. The role leads packaging operations, drives efficiency, and collaborates with engineering on financials and monthly reporting.

Applicants should have 3 years in packaging/manufacturing and 2–4 years in a supervisory role, plus a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. GMP experience and a safety-focused mindset are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ industry experience in Primary Packaging, Secondary Packaging, Custom Packaging, Manufacturing or related businesses and/or operations.
• 2–4 years’ management experience in a supervisory/ management role.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with GMP and health & safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Support General Manager and engineering team with financial, project, and monthly reporting.
• Manage the supervisors to drive efficiency through production and planning.
• Communicate production plan/status via start-up and pacing meetings.
• Set up training and development for direct reports (Leadership Standard Work / Lean).
• Manage production planning and ordering of supplies and equipment as needed.
• Oversee efficiency tracking and labor planning.
• Communicate concerns or calls with customer as necessary.
• Assess project and resource needs.
• Identify bottlenecks and mitigate risks in operations.
• Drive continuous improvement via 5S and waste elimination.
