Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is hiring a Packaging Operations Manager to lead packaging operations within the DC packaging solution. The role emphasizes lean improvement, tight production planning, and collaboration with engineering and vendors to optimize line performance.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in primary/secondary packaging and 2–4 years in a supervisory role, with strong GMP and safety awareness and a customer-focused mindset. On-site role with comprehensive benefits provided.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ industry experience in Primary/Secondary/Custom Packaging or related packaging operations.
• 2–4 years’ management experience in a supervisory/management role.

Responsibilities

• Support General Manager and engineering team with financial, project, and monthly reporting.
• Manage the supervisors to drive efficiency through production and planning.
• Communicate production plan/status via start-up and pacing meetings.
• Set up training and development for direct reports (e.g., Lean, 5S).
• Manage production planning and ordering of supplies and equipment as needed.
• Oversee efficiency tracking and labor planning.
• Coordinate health and safety and GMP compliance.
• Identify and remove operational bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement.
• Work with vendors to maintain WIP inventory.
• Provide production, safety, quality, and other reports as needed.
