Job summary

The Ritedose Corporation in Columbia, SC seeks an experienced Packaging Operations Supervisor to lead the packaging department on their shift and drive daily output toward goals. The role emphasizes SOP adherence, training, and execution of leadership directives to support department performance.

Responsibilities include maintaining equipment knowledge, identifying process improvements, and coordinating daily production priorities while ensuring safety, cGMP guidelines, and proper documentation.

Qualifications

• Preferred 2 year Technical degree and a minimum of three years experience in operation of manufacturing processes, preferably in a high speed packaging environment.
• 5-10 years of experience in a management role in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Excellent interaction skills with the ability to exercise initiative, to motivate, and direct production line employees.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office applications, ERP (EPICOR preferred), SPC tools (Mini Tab, Etc.)
• Ability to establish priorities and meet expectations with minimal supervision.
• Ability to lead and develop a team-oriented working relationship within the operation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an operational knowledge of all packaging equipment and ancillary support equipment including control and communication devices used in the process.
• Assist in identifying areas for process improvements through analysis of daily operations and process review.
• Assist in identifying areas for health, safety, and ergonomic improvements through analysis of required tasks.
• Develop daily packaging priorities to assure daily goals are accomplished, complete daily production log and attend daily production meetings as required.
• Complete ERP transactions for the packaging department.
• Verify material balance report & adjust inventories of packaging components as necessary.
• Develop continuous improvement initiatives for key performance indicators.
• Prepare and setup the packaging line for each batch run according to the production order.
• Monitor the packaging line and support equipment during batch packaging.
• Perform process monitoring of the equipment – focusing on the primary equipment.
