Job summary

McCain Foods USA, Inc. in Washington (Othello) is hiring a Packaging Mechanic to maintain and repair packaging equipment. You will interpret blueprints and P&IDs to service conveyors, drives, pumps, and related machinery on the production lines.

Qualifications

Ability to read safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write information required on permits or lock out tags and computer entries.
Ability to communicate effectively with maintenance supervisors.
High School diploma or GED or related experience or training.

Responsibilities

Promotes and adheres to safety work rules and regulations.
Assist with maintenance work on packaging equipment and conveyors as directed.
Install, repair, maintain and troubleshoot production equipment, pneumatics, hydraulics.
Work as part of a team to support maintenance goals and continuous improvement.
Document work in the CMMS and log machine condition.
