Job summary

Randstad USA in Hauppauge, NY is seeking a skilled Packaging Mechanic with 2+ years of hands-on experience to join our production team. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automated packaging equipment while upholding strict cGMP standards and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on maintenance or packaging mechanic experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, electronic, and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair.
• Flexibility to work a 12-hour shift and ~20 hours of overtime per week.
• Familiarity with cGMP standards and SOPs, plus LOTO protocols.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair packaging machinery and related systems.
• Own production metrics such as downtime, changeover time, and PM completion.
• Complete scheduled PMs accurately within timeframes.
• Set up and resolve issues on complex equipment with cross-functional teams.
• Log parts usage, manage the storeroom, and document issues.
• Uphold safety, quality, and environmental policies in daily work.
• Suggest maintenance improvements to reduce costs and restart machinery quickly.
