Job summary

TGG Accounting is seeking a hands-on Packaging Mechanic in Flanders, NJ to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair packaging equipment, supporting daily production on a Monday–Friday schedule. The role offers overtime opportunities, strong benefits, and potential growth into supervisory positions.

You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and coordinate with contractors for specialized repairs while working with various packaging systems in a stable manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience maintaining and repairing packaging equipment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and technical documentation.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools safely.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently.
• Forklift experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair packaging equipment to support daily production
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on packaging machinery
• Diagnose equipment issues and replace worn or damaged components
• Repair and maintain vertical and horizontal packaging machines
• Work with equipment manuals, diagrams, and maintenance documentation
• Monitor machine performance and address downtime issues quickly
• Perform light facility maintenance when needed
• Operate a forklift as part of maintenance and production support activities
• Coordinate with outside contractors for specialized electrical and welding repairs

What You'll Do

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair packaging equipment to support daily production
