Job summary

pladis is seeking a Material Handler to move pallets of candy and supplies to the packaging line and support production. The role requires coordinating with line setup, recording inventory and lot codes, and ensuring materials are available to keep the line running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Mathematical operations with money, weights, volumes and distances.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions with attention to detail.
• Stand/walk, lift up to 50 pounds, use pallet jacks and related equipment.
• Read schedules, BOMs and track material flow for production.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for routine equipment and line tasks.

Responsibilities

• Move pallets of candy and supplies to packaging line to keep production running.
• Notify leader of potential problems to prevent downtime.
• Coordinate with setup for skids placement and line changeovers.
• Record and verify supplies, MOA, quantities and shelf-life 180 days.
• Log product lot codes on BOM for traceability.
• Record excess inventory and return items to proper storage.
• Wrap pallets, attach production tickets, and transport to distribution area.
• Follow SOPs and train new employees as needed.
• Maintain clean home department and participate in safety meetings.
