Job summary

Piedmont Candy Company in Lexington, NC is hiring a Wrapper Technician I to support our packaging operations. You will set up wrapper machines, verify materials, and run startup inspections to ensure high-speed equipment is ready for production.

You will monitor performance, troubleshoot basic issues, and perform preventative maintenance while collaborating with maintenance, quality, and production teams to maximize efficiency and product quality.

Responsibilities

• Set up wrapper machines for daily production runs.
• Verify correct wrapping materials and product specifications.
• Perform startup inspections and equipment readiness checks.
• Monitor machine performance and make routine adjustments.
• Troubleshoot basic mechanical and operational issues.
• Minimize downtime through proactive equipment monitoring.
• Assist with product changeovers and production startups.
• Perform daily preventative maintenance activities.
• Inspect and maintain belts, chains, guides, sensors, heaters, and other machine components.
• Support operators with machine operation and troubleshooting.
• Maintain a clean, organized GMP-compliant work area.
• Work closely with Maintenance, Quality, and Production teams to maximize efficiency and product quality.
