Legacy Bakehouse in Wisconsin is hiring a Packaging Machine Operator for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts at Waukesha and Cudahy locations. You will operate bagging and cartoning equipment, perform quality checks, and ensure smooth machine operation.

As a Packaging Machine Operator, you'll play a critical role in keeping our products moving safely from the line to our customers. You'll operate and monitor bagging and cartoning machines, perform quality checks, and help keep equipment running smoothly. This is a hands-on position where attention to detail and a commitment to food safety are essential.
Set up and run packaging machines (baggers, cartoners) according to customer and internal specifications.
Perform equipment checks, basic troubleshooting, and report repair needs.
Conduct product tests for quality, accuracy, and consistency.
Record lot numbers, data logs, and other documentation for traceability.
Make machine adjustments to meet efficiency and quality standards.
Follow sanitation and cleaning schedules, including swab testing and QA inspections.
Maintain housekeeping standards to meet food safety requirements.
Alert supervisors to unsafe conditions or food safety issues.
Support team operations as needed.
Strong math skills (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, percentages).
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Food manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred, but we'll train the right person.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for an 8+ hour shift.
Comfortable working in warm environments.
Detail-oriented and dependable with good communication skills.
