Job summary

Pratt Industries, Inc. is seeking a hands-on machine operator to safely operate paper bag machines, perform setup, production line changes, and quality checks to meet customer demand.

You will follow GMPs, maintain cleanliness, assist with maintenance, count finished product, and document production data while aiming for high efficiency and minimal downtime.

This role requires basic reading and math, ability to use touch-screen controls, and a willingness to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6 months manufacturing experience preferred.
• Basic reading and math skills.
• Able to read instructions and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Work safely at all times and comply with Pratt Industries Safety rules and procedures.
• Follow GMPs (Good Manufacturing Processes).
• Perform machine adjustments and maintenance tasks as needed; comfortable with touch screen controls.
• Support start-up operations by changing rolls, ink, or other raw materials.
• Gather finished product, inspect quality, and remove any non-conforming items.
• Maintain accurate counts and pace with production speeds; ensure proper packing.
