Job summary

The Packaging Machine Operator at Lanco Group prepares and operates packaging equipment, including rollpack and smashing machines. You will stage products, thread film, set machine presets, and ensure smooth production flow.

You will monitor quilt processing, perform basic troubleshooting, and assist with maintenance. The role requires attention to detail, blueprints understanding, and strong English communication. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) and PTO.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing.
• Attention to detail to ensure production quality.
• Blueprint reading to interpret diagrams.
• Basic math including fractions.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the packaging machine by staging the correct product, threading the film, programming presets, and completing paperwork.
• Operate rollpack or smashing machine and adjust settings for performance.
• Pass quilts through the machine and monitor function.
• Flip quilts inside out and prepare for rolling or smashing.
• Hand-unload rolled or smashed quilts and box them.
• Print master QR code for full boxes and attach.
• Scan each quilt and log in QuiltTracker app.
• Maintain master QR codes in QuiltTracker app.
• Clear jams and reload film rolls as needed.
• Detect malfunctions and assist troubleshooting.
• Perform preventative maintenance per manufacturer instructions.
• Inspect equipment, structures, and materials.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
