Job summary

Pratt Industries is seeking an operator to safely run paper bag machines, perform setup and adjustments, and ensure quality from start to finish. You will support start-up, material changes, and packing while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Attention to detail, basic math, and the ability to read tape measures are essential. Knowledge of GMPs and safety procedures is required, with forklift certification helpful for advancement. This role is on-site and team-oriented.

Qualifications

• Prior work experience in the packaging industry is preferred.
• 6 months’ experience in some type of manufacturing operation.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Operate paper bag machines safely and perform setup and adjustments.
• Conduct quality checks and maintain documentation.
• Follow GMP and safety rules; participate in safety committees.
• Assist in line start-up, material changes, and packing.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping; prevent safety hazards.
• Learn and comply with quality procedures; report issues.
