Job summary

Riceland Foods, Inc. is seeking a packaging line operator to start, stop, and monitor poly forming, volumetric filling packaging machines to meet customer orders and specifications for product type, label, weight, quantity and quality.

You will complete all associated records and keep the work area clean. The role requires the ability to read production orders, perform basic arithmetic, follow detailed instructions, and stand for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read production orders.
• Able to perform basic arithmetic including decimals.
• Able to lift up to 60 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain HACCP and Food Safety compliance.
• Monitor plant safety and report unauthorized persons.
• Attend required training as directed by supervisor.
• Complete records and paperwork and keep the work area clean.

Must be able to read production orders, print legibly, add subtract, multiply and divide, in whole numbers and decimals, follow detailed instructions.

Must be able to lift heavy weights (up to 60#) occasionally and work standing up for periods of two hours or more at a time.

Job Duties

Other duties may be assigned. Responsible for food safety by following HACCP and Food Safety policies/procedures. Responsible for plant safety by observing persons entering your work area, asking if you can assist them, and reporting unauthorized persons to your supervisor. Attend training as required or approved by supervisor.

Education Requirements

One year certificate from college or technical school preferred; or High School Diploma or GED.
