Job description

Join to apply for the Packaging Machine Operator I role at Inotiv.

Sunday - Thursday 10 PM - 6 AM

$22.50 per hour with an additional $3.00 shift premium.

The position involves packaging animal diet by filling, closing, packing, and palletizing packages, including but not limited to the following duties:

• Perform setup and preparation work prior to packaging using production schedules and quality documents.
• Accurately complete all forms and documents for each packaging run.
• Conduct in-process checks and verifications in compliance with quality standards.
• Operate packaging equipment and make operational adjustments as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Neat and legible handwriting.

Preferred Skills:

• Ability to work safely following GMP and safety procedures.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
• Capable of transposing written information onto quality records.
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Repetitive task performance ability.

• Physical mobility within the facility.
• Ability to wear safety equipment.
• Frequently lift 50 lbs.
• Climb stairs and ladders.
• Willingness to operate a forklift (certification available on-site).
