Packaging Machine Operator - 2nd shift - Interview Day 5/9/2025

• Pay Rate: $31.31 / hour ($1 shift premium)
• Work Schedule: 2nd shift 2:36p - 11p Tues - Sat. Unscheduled days are guaranteed off, with potential forced OT 4 hours before or after your shift.

Packaging Machine Operators are essential to our success at FritoLay. They are responsible for setting up and operating packaging machines and statistical scales to produce quality packages of product. This role offers growth opportunities within FritoLay and PepsiCo. Key tasks include:

1. Set up and operate multiple packaging machines to ensure accurate coding, weighing, and proper packaging of products.
2. Ensure products are correctly dated and sealed, minimizing waste.
3. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
4. Perform basic preventive maintenance on packaging equipment.
5. Wear protective gear when cleaning and sanitizing lines.
6. Inspect conveyors and scales before start-ups and changeovers.
7. Troubleshoot common issues and make operational adjustments.

This position operates 24/7, involves physical work, and requires standing for long periods near heavy machinery in a loud environment. Conditions may vary with seasons and weather, affecting indoor temperatures. Minimum qualifications include:

1. Minimum 18 years of age.
2. Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and off-shift hours.
3. Mechanical aptitude and at least 1 year of machine operation experience preferred.
4. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, climb, bend, reach, and stretch for extended periods, with or without accommodations.
5. Basic math skills and proficiency in reading and writing in English.
6. Willingness to work at heights using ladders or lifts.
