American Wood Fibers, Inc. is seeking a Packaging Machine Operator for the Laurinburg, NC facility on the 2nd shift. The role focuses on safe, efficient production and shipping of wood shavings, with duties spanning packaging operations, area upkeep, and outdoor tasks.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and baseline physical fitness to handle bending, squatting, and climbing as needed. Prior forklift experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Physical ability to bend, squat, or stoop.
• Previous mobile equipment and/or forklift preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to produce packaged materials safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate with shift supervisor and follow through with assigned duties.
• Assist with cleaning work area.
• Stack and palletize finished products (up to 40 lbs).
• Perform outdoor duties such as sweeping and debris removal.
• Maintain quality checks and communicate issues.
