American Wood Fibers (AWF) in Laurinburg, NC is hiring a Packaging Machine Operator for the 1st shift. The role focuses on safe, efficient production and shipment of wood shavings, with duties spanning equipment operation, safety, outdoor tasks, and quality assurance.

The candidate should have a High School Diploma or GED, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and physical capability to perform bending, squatting, and climbing as needed. Prior forklift experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Physical capability to bend, squat, or stoop.
• Previous mobile equipment and/or forklift preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend monthly safety meetings and wear PPE as required.
• Operate equipment to produce packaged materials and assist with cleaning up area.
• Perform outdoor duties including sweeping, debris cleanup, watering flowers and shrubbery, shoveling snow, and deicing walkways.
• Maintain and verify that current quality assurance measures are followed and communicated.
