Job summary

Mars in Lewisburg, Ohio seeks a Packaging Machine Operator to ensure finished products meet QFS/QMP standards and to run packaging equipment efficiently. You will perform quality checks, document results, and support continuous improvement while promoting safety and collaboration.

Starting pay is $22.90/hour plus a $2 shift premium for 2nd and 3rd shifts, with a $2,500 sign-on bonus for new hires. Relevant food manufacturing experience and forklift familiarity are assets in this fast-paced role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Strong math, reading, and writing skills.
• Knowledge of computers and equipment HMIs.
• Safety, Quality, and Material Management Systems familiarity.
• Food safety principles knowledge.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all personal safety practices meeting Mars standards and regulatory requirements.
• Operate packaging equipment within established efficiency and productivity standards.
• Perform quality checks and document as required by QMP/site standards.
• Complete equipment adjustments, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance per SOPs.
• Support Mars Supply Excellence initiatives and Autonomous Maintenance activities.
• Adhere to master sanitation program and housekeeping requirements.
• Participate in continuous improvement to enhance performance and plant metrics.
• Comply with all food safety requirements and site safety programs.
