Job summary

Bosch Charleston is seeking a student or recent graduate for a hands-on packaging design/engineering role at our Charleston, SC production site. You will engage in production line optimization, material evaluation, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance packaging efficiency and sustainability.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a degree in Packaging Science/Engineering or related fields, with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Packaging Science/Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on approach to problem-solving in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong understanding of packaging materials and ability to observe and analyze.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint; CAD familiarity a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in production line optimization and packaging-related issue troubleshooting.
• Support line trials for new materials, designs, or equipment, collecting data.
• Evaluate packaging materials for suitability and performance.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to assess specs and production capabilities.
• Contribute to waste reduction and lean manufacturing initiatives on the packaging line.
• Maintain packaging specifications and records, including test results and line trials.
• Participate in daily production meetings and cross-functional problem-solving discussions.
