Job summary

The Simplot Company is seeking a Line Operator to efficiently run a packaging line and support safe, quality, and cost targets on a real-time, hourly basis. This role reports to the Packaging Shift Supervisor and requires vigilant monitoring of line performance and issues to keep production on track.

Responsibilities include operating the line, communicating mechanical issues to maintenance, ensuring smooth product flow, and meeting hourly budget goals.

• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operates and oversees the operation of a packaging line on a specific shift.
• Observes and reports any mechanical issues to the Supervisor or maintenance department.
• Ensures proper flow of product on each line that production goals are being met.
• Reports to the Supervisor on line performance to the budgeted goals for each hour to ensure targets are being met and issues that mean production goals are not being achieved are corrected.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
