Job summary

The Simplot Company in Pasco, WA seeks a Packaging Lead to oversee the daily operation of the packaging crew and equipment in a multi-line department. You will assist in training packaging staff on equipment and packaging procedures, while ensuring employee safety and safe machine operation.

Responsibilities include organizing personnel, coordinating with other departments to deliver quality products, aligning packaging activities with management goals, and leading a team to meet production

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two years related experience preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead a group of employees.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and supervises packaging personnel and the start up and continuous operation of the packaging equipment on a shift.
• Communicates with other departments to ensure a quality product is being delivered to our customer.
• Plans and coordinates the packaging activities with Packaging Department Management.
• Assists in setting production goals and help packaging department achieve goals.
• Ensures that packaging personnel is working safely and the safe operation of packaging equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
