Job summary

Quantix SCS LLC is seeking a Packaging Operator to safely operate packaging equipment while protecting product integrity and meeting customer requirements. This role focuses on preventing contamination, following standardized processes, and adhering to safety procedures on the assigned pack-out line.

You will work with the Packaging Lead to set up lines, transfer hoses to railcars, and complete required paperwork.

Qualifications

• 6–12 months of Warehouse experience.
• 6–12 months of Operations experience.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and adapt to schedule changes.
• Flexibility to work with different crews as needed.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl occasionally.
• Ability to lift 55 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain safe packaging, material handling, and visual inspection processes within EHS and Quality policy guidelines.
• Adhere to Good Packaging Practices (GPPs) to maintain product integrity.
• Perform complete blowdowns in accordance with customer quality standards.
• Assist the Packaging Lead in setting up packaging lines.
• Set up transfer hoses to railcars while following GPPs.
• Verify and initial paperwork before starting new packaging orders.
• Review and initial test prints after approval from the Packaging Lead.
• Report any quality concerns encountered during packaging to the Packaging Lead.
• Complete assigned training in Paylocity to maintain compliance and skill development.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in the work area to ensure cleanliness and organization.
• Assist the Packaging Lead in completing all tasks assigned by management.
