Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in the United States is seeking a hands-on packaging operator to support quality audits and production tasks in a fast-paced environment. You will learn to set up the line, monitor carton quality, verify job sheets, and maintain materials while documenting reports per SQF and safety policies.

The role requires basic measuring skills, willingness to operate testing devices, and adherence to housekeeping standards. Pallet jack certification is a plus and training is provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to read basic measurement devices (calculator, tape measure, ruler).
• Willingness to learn to operate testing devices such as Chatillon, Mettler PM 480 and Fluke IR Thermometer.
• Pallet jack certification is a plus.
• General mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document quality audits and verify job completion.
• Learn to Make-ready machine and monitor carton quality.
• Maintain materials for production and complete required reports.
• Maintain housekeeping to standards and perform line clearance as assigned.
• Adhere to SQF, safety policies and procedures.
