Job summary

PetIQ in Omaha, NE is seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to keep our production lines running smoothly in a clean, temperature-controlled plant. You will support supervisors and leads to maintain safety, quality, and productivity on a 4:30pm-2:30am schedule, with 3-day weekends.

The role emphasizes accurate, efficient work, adherence to procedures, and teamwork. High school or GED, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and post-offer drug/background checks are required.

Qualifications

  • 6 months’ experience in a highly physical, labor-intensive position (e.g., construction, distribution warehouse, equipment/machine operator, farmhand, freight handler).
  • Proficient in basic math and reading skills.
  • Must be able to work a full-time schedule, including some overtime as required.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Must pass a post offer drug test and background check.

Job description

Work in a clean, safe, temperature-controlled plant and have 3-day weekends. Machine Operators play an integral role in ensuring our machines are running at optimum capacity; Machine Operators assist in observing safe and efficient operations of equipment. This position has the support of any of the following: Manufacturing Line Leads, Spider, Production Supervisors and Management. We want you to succeed.

Minimal Qualifications

  • Proficient in basic math and reading skills.

Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand on concrete floors with fatigue mats for 8 to 12 hours at a time
  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds and to push or pull up to 400 pounds (181 kilograms) or equivalency utilizing a manual cart.
  • Able to frequently grasp objects. Must possess sufficient visual and audio acuity to work safely and accurately in an industrial environment.
Hours And Pay

  • The hours for this position are Monday-Thursday 4:30pm - 2:30am
  • This position starts at $17.00/hour + $1.00/hour shift differential
