Job summary

Utz Quality Foods is hiring a Lineperson for our Hanover, PA High Street facility. You will move product, scan inventory, and set up packing areas daily as part of a cross-functional manufacturing team.

Ideal candidates will handle moderate lifting, operate scanning equipment, and maintain accurate records while working in a fast-paced environment with other team members. We offer full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• Basic math and reading skills required.
• On-the-job training covers packing procedures and product storage.
• Moderate lifting up to 25 lbs.
• Pulling or pumping jacks up to 250 lbs.
• Maintain accurate records of items moved.
• Check computer for scanning errors.
• Ability to read and understand English communications.

Responsibilities

• Move product from packing area to warehouse by pulling jacks filled with product.
• Accurately scan finished product into inventory using scanning equipment.
• Order materials (cartons, liners) for packers from material handler.
• Set up mats and cartons for packers before production begins.
• Prepare packing area when packaging different products.
• Order appropriate cartons.
• Help relieve for breaks and lunches.
• Help clean floor and equipment in packing room weekly.
• Must safely maneuver 60 lb. skids.
• Constant reaching and stacking above head.
• Work proactively in cross-functional teams.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
