Qualifications

• Requires basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Knowledge of all packaging machine equipment used in Packaging Department.
• Willingness to obtain forklift license.
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Basic computer skills to enter usage data.
• Must work well in a team and communicate with others.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English instructions.

Responsibilities

• Set up packaging lines correctly and efficiently.
• Perform daily operator checklists at shift changes and startup.
• Verify operations and calibrate scales on packaging machines.
• Record film usage and calculate film waste percentages.
• Maintain sanitary, organized work environment and sanitation duties.
• Train new operators as needed.
• Assist Maintenance with machine repairs when necessary.
• Communicate with incoming shift operators about issues or improvements.
