Qualifications

• Requires basic reading, writing and math skills.
• Knowledge of all packaging machine equipment used in Packaging Department.
• Willingness to obtain forklift license.
• Able to lift a minimum 50 lbs.
• Basic computer skills to enter component usage.
• Teamwork when working and communicating with others.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English instructions.

Responsibilities

• Set up packaging lines correctly and efficiently.
• Perform daily operator checklists at shift changes and startup.
• Verify proper operations and calibrate scales on packaging machines.
• Gather packaging film and ensure proper codes and pricing printed on packages.
• Use appropriate formers and adjust temperatures to achieve proper seals.
• Monitor packaging quality hourly and check weight, seals, codes and pricing.
