Job summary

Simplot is seeking a Packaging Lead (Night Shift) in Pasco, WA to manage the packaging line and supervise crew safety and productivity. This role requires mechanical aptitude, strong communication, and leadership to ensure quality production and efficient operations.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, experience in packaging environments, and the ability to work nights. Relocation and benefits are available; the site offers a comprehensive rewards package.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic computer literacy are essential.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are expected.
• Ability to balance multiple tasks and work under pressure.
• Experience leading a team is preferred.
• Ability to work in refrigerated and cold environments.
• Capable of independent work with sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and supervises packaging personnel and the start up and continuous operation of the packaging equipment on a shift.
• Communicates with other departments to ensure a quality product is being delivered to our customer.
• Plans and coordinates the packaging activities with Packaging Department Management.
• Assists in setting production goals and help packaging department achieve goals.
• Ensures that packaging personnel is working safely and the safe operation of packaging equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
